Cii is very much aware of its responsibility towards both the environment and society at large and this informs the choices we make. As employers, we have a profit sharing plan in place, and flexitime helps our three employees balance family and career. Financially, we are committed to ethical investments (Triodos Bank). We also support Belgium’s new éco-chèques or eco vouchers scheme.
Giving back to the community, Cii organises free interpreting services or offers special rates for selected NGOs. We are environmentally aware, and associates and staff try to keep their carbon footprint small (we prefer electronic communications and soft mobility). Cii also actively supports Brussels Region and European initiatives promoting bicycles as an everyday means of transport (www.ecf.com).
Providing for the future, Cii’s associates who train young interpreters are in direct contact with the new generations and help them integrate into the workplace.
